A certified teacher, Pamela previously taught middle school math and science in gifted classrooms in the Bellevue School District and also worked as a National STEM Coach. She holds two master’s degrees—a Master’s in Teaching Mathematics and a Master’s in Science Education—and has served on OSPI’s School Safety & Student Wellbeing Committee.

Pamela created Quantum because she wanted to build a school where children are happy to come each day, feel safe and cared for, and have plenty of opportunities to explore what interests them. She loves hands-on learning and especially enjoys watching kids experiment, ask questions, build things, solve problems, and get excited when they figure something out.

Pamela spends the majority of her time on-site at Quantum and enjoys being involved in the day-to-day life of the school. You’ll often find her helping teachers in the classroom, working with students, or jumping in wherever she is needed. Being on-site also gives her the chance to really get to know each child in the program.

She also enjoys getting to know Quantum’s families and wants parents to feel comfortable talking with her about how their child is doing, what they’re working on at home, or areas where their child may need a little extra support or encouragement. One of the things Pamela loves about having a small school is the opportunity to truly know the children and families who are part of it.

Ingelise

Preschool & Pre-K Teacher

Ingelise holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, with experience teaching children from preschool through elementary school.

She has experience caring for and teaching children from infancy through the elementary years, including working in a home daycare, teaching preschool, running an after-school program, and teaching elementary school. Most recently, she spent three years as a first-grade teacher before taking time away from the classroom to raise her three sons.

One of Ingelise’s favorite areas of early learning is literacy. She loves helping children begin to build the reading and writing skills they will use throughout their lives and enjoys being part of those exciting early milestones.

What she especially loves about preschool is that almost anything can become an opportunity to learn. A story, a question, a conversation, or something a child notices can turn into a whole new learning experience. Ingelise is excited to be back in the classroom and enjoys getting to know each child and discovering where their curiosity takes them.

Johnny

Transportation

Johnny brings many years of professional driving and safety experience to his role at Quantum. His background includes working as a school bus driver, professional driver, firefighter, and driver safety trainer, as well as operating heavy equipment. Throughout his career, safety, responsibility, and awareness have always been at the center of his work.

One of Johnny’s most valuable professional experiences was working with the National Traffic Safety Institute (NTSI) as a driver trainer. In this role, he traveled throughout the country providing traffic-safety training and conducting extensive on-road driving evaluations. He enjoyed helping drivers become safer, more confident, and more responsible behind the wheel.

Johnny’s diverse background also includes experience as a firefighter, lifeguard, commercial driver, construction equipment operator, motorcycle rider, and helicopter pilot. These experiences have reinforced the importance of staying alert, anticipating potential risks, remaining calm, and always putting safety first.

Johnny also has strong ties to the Snoqualmie community, where he raised his two children. Having been a parent in the local schools himself, he understands how important it is for families to know that their children are being cared for by people they can trust.

At Quantum, Johnny helps transport students to and from school and to our local park. He sees transporting children as much more than simply getting them from one place to another. His goal is to provide a safe, dependable, and reassuring experience for every child and family.
