Pre-K Curriculum
Quantum STEM School Snoqualmie
At Quantum STEM School in Snoqualmie, our Pre-K curriculum combines the Experience Early Learning program with hands-on STEM exploration, early literacy development, and kindergarten readiness skills.
At Quantum STEM School in Snoqualmie, our Pre-K program uses the Experience Early Learning Curriculum, a research-based program designed to support early childhood development through play, exploration, and hands-on learning.
Each week, children explore engaging themes that introduce early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional skills through stories, art, music, movement, and creative projects. Lessons are designed to spark curiosity while helping children build the foundational skills needed for kindergarten and lifelong learning.
At Quantum STEM School, we extend the Experience Curriculum by integrating STEM-focused activities, science exploration, and hands-on discovery throughout the day. Students investigate the world around them through experiments, building projects, nature exploration, and problem-solving activities.
Our goal is to create a joyful learning environment where children feel confident asking questions, exploring new ideas, and developing a strong foundation for future academic success.
STEM & Early Literacy in Our Pre-K Program
In addition to the Experience Early Learning Curriculum, Quantum STEM School integrates STEM exploration and early literacy development throughout the day. Our program blends science, technology, engineering, math, and language learning into engaging hands-on activities designed for preschool learners.
Students participate in science experiments, building challenges, problem-solving activities, and nature exploration that encourage curiosity and critical thinking. Through guided exploration, children learn to ask questions, test ideas, and discover how the world works.
Early literacy is woven into our daily routine through storytime, phonemic awareness activities, vocabulary development, and interactive reading experiences. These activities help children develop strong communication skills and confidence with language.
By combining STEM exploration with early literacy development, we help children build both academic foundations and a lifelong love of learning.
Washington State Pre-K Early Learning Standards
At Quantum STEM School, our preschool curriculum aligns with the Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines, which outline the key developmental milestones for children from birth through early elementary school.
These standards help guide our teaching in areas such as language development, early math skills, science exploration, social-emotional growth, and physical development. By following these research-based guidelines, we ensure that children are developing the foundational skills needed for kindergarten readiness and long-term academic success.
Our teachers use these standards to design engaging learning experiences that support the whole child while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
Kindergarten Readiness
Our Pre-K program focuses on helping children develop the skills needed for a successful transition to kindergarten. Students build early literacy, foundational math skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence through hands-on learning and guided exploration.
